The Holy Grail of Eris

Connie and Scarlett’s quest for revenge fifinally leads them to the doorstep of Aisha Huxley, the woman who was once Scarlett’s avid fan. Facing interrogation from the girl-and-ghost duo, Aisha is backed into a corner…and at last, she reveals the truth from ten years ago. But her answers only bring about more questions, and as Connie delves further into the mystery, Lily’s cryptic clue—“The Holy Grail of Eris”—resurfaces with a surprising new meaning…

Connie has finally solved the mystery of Lily Orlamunde’s key and discovered the true meaning of “the Holy Grail of Eris”—a military operation devised by Faris, their neighboring allied nation, to invade Adelbide. Now, the story rewinds to the past, allowing a glimpse into the life of the woman who left the cryptic message. From Lily’s meeting with Scarlett, to her childhood with Crown Prince Enrique, to Scarlett’s execution…just what did she come to discover? And what drove her to commit suicide?

Thanks to Deborah’s machinations, Abigail, who was working to prove Aldous’s innocence in the case of Aisha’s murder, is arrested by the Royal Military Police. With a trial close at hand, Abigail’s enemies prepare to use shady tactics to take her down, and a fate mirroring Scarlett’s ten years ago looms over the duchess. But all is not lost— for the women Abigail saved are ready to do whatever it takes to rescue their benefactor. After all, in the hands of the cunning, beauty is its own weapon…

It began as two simple questions—Why was Scarlett Castiel executed ten years ago? And who was the culprit behind it all? But the answers hide themselves behind layers of mystery, from the unusual blood flowing in Scarlett’s veins, to the plots of a traitorous noble, to the fate of a country poised on the brink of war. At last, Randolph Ulster approaches the truth, gripped in the hands of two men with too much to protect: King Ernst Adelbide and his lifelong friend at the heart of the conspiracy—Duke Castiel, Scarlett’s father himself.

To fulfill Scarlett’s quest of revenge, Connie gives Duke Adolphus Castiel a mean slap—a slap that awakens many memories. He remembers the day he took in the last Farisian princess, Aliénore, as his wife; the day his wife put down her obedient mask and bared her fangs to him; the day she came to truly love Adolphus; and even the day of Scarlett’s execution. Using Connie as a medium, will Adolphus and his departed daughter finally be able to face each other and speak from the heart?
