Mechanical Marie

He was a boy. She was a girl…Can it be any more obvious? Actually, he’s not just a boy—he’s Arthur Louis Zetes, heir to the mega-rich Zetes conglomerate and a guy who absolutely despises humans. And so the powers that be had the wonderfully sane idea of hiring martial arts prodigy Marie as a robot maid and bodyguard against those with nefarious intentions for quite a tidy sum. Which is cool and all, except they forgot to mention one teensy, tiny detail…This guy dotes on inanimate objects like Marie can’t believe, so now she’s not sure which will kill her first—the assassins or his affections?!

Despite her trials and tribulations, Marie managed to retain her status as Arthur’s mechanical maid—although whether she’ll manage to retain her sanity as well yet remains to be seen. After all, even though she’s a living breathing human girl who sneezes and eats and gets butterflies in her stomach when the extremely attractive heir to the Zetes conglomerate gets up close and personal, his mistrust of other humans and hatred of liars means she needs to do everything in her power to keep up the robot act! However, when a fellow assassin joins them at the academy, he just might ruin everything...!

While Marie won’t exactly dispute that age-old adage, it doesn’t really solve her main conundrum—how to continue pretending to be a robot maid while smitten with her misanthropic rich boy employer, Arthur. But she also doesn’t want to give up being a part of his life, so the trials continue! Through birthday parties and summer island vacays, she must keep her secret identity as a bona fide human under wraps at all costs…!
