Goblin Slayer Side Story: Year One

Spearman, eager to score new gear to match his new promotion, entreats the blacksmith for a magic spear. Meanwhile, Goblin Slayer comes across a magic weapon of his own—a sword that blazes with a pale-blue light. Too bad a goblin got its grubby little hands on it first! And as if well-equipped goblins weren’t enough, Goblin Slayer will have to face off against a giant eye monster whose gaze can melt stone! If only he could get some help and advice from a more experienced adventurer…

“The path you walk is rife with the signs of chaos.” With those ominous words, an elven swordswoman offers to join Goblin Slayer on his adventures. Soon the pair is on the hunt for goblins or worse to slay—and cracks of thunder and sheets of rain herald the latter! For those deep footprints in the mud were made by no goblin, but a nightmarish beast with a lion’s head, a turtle’s shell, six bear legs, and burning breath—a tarasque!

Side by side with Elf Fighter, Goblin Slayer ventures deeper into a dank cavern where a wicked wizard waits…His new sword master and temporary comrade has a date with her destined nemesis, but horrid cadaver puppets and goblins stand in her way. Goblin Slayer understands his job well, and with a characteristic declaration from our hero, they part—“Leave the corpse and the goblins to me. You go ahead and kill the wizard.” But will they live to meet again and enjoy the fruits of victory together…?
