Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree

Aseo the Tarnished’s search for more Great Runes brings him to the sorcery academy of Raya Lucaria, where the headmistress is none other than Ranni’s mother, Queen Rennala! Ranni asks Aseo to claim her mother’s Great Rune without killing her. However, when Aseo sets foot in the Grand Library of Raya Lucaria, he finds that the Queen of the Full Moon isn’t quite what he expected. Soon, he’s caught up in another frenzied fight…with a conclusion nobody could ever see coming! New friends, familiar faces, action, adventure, and cats(?)—all await Aseo as he starts on a quest for treasures galore!

Aseo the Tarnished arrives at Redmane Castle…right on time for the festival of combat! His fellow participants include Blaidd the Half-Wolf, Iron Fist Alexander, and a lineup of some of the finest (and oddest) warriors in all the Lands Between. Together, they’ll be facing the mightiest of the demigods: Starscourge Radahn! Though the Scarlet Rot ravages Radahn’s body and mind, he still lives up to his fearsome reputation. As Aseo and his crew teeter on the brink of total defeat, Melina steps in—but can her advice turn the tide?!

Aseo the Tarnished has a new goal— obtaining Ranni the Witch’s Cursemark of Death—and he even agrees to enter Ranni’s service for it. But as soon as Aseo signs up, she sends him off on a mission to the Eternal City of Nokron with Blaidd the Half-Wolf in tow! However, the perils of Nokron may not be the greatest dangers. Preceptor Seluvis is a real puppet hobbyist, and he thinks an authentic, life-size Aseo action figure to do his bidding would make a fine addition!

Aseo the Tarnished bustles through the Lands Between in search of a way up to the Altus Plateau, where the Erdtree takes root. On this journey, he joins Nepheli, and the two witness a tragedy that spurs him to butt heads with Gideon Ofnir. A return to Liurnia results in a meeting with the blind Lightseeker Hyetta, who promises to teach him how to climb the Altus Plateau in exchange for a favor. But they’re not alone, as a fearsome foe who fights with the Frenzied Flame suddenly rears his head! It’s Festering Fingerprint Vyke, the man who came closest to becoming Elden Lord— and he’s got something to say to Aseo!!

At long last, Aseo the Tarnished’s quest has brought him to the Altus Plateau, where the Erdtree stands! Soon, he’s kitted out with a new set of duds from Boc the seamster—not to mention a better understanding of the trials one faces in pursuit of the Golden Order, courtesy of Brother Corhyn and the Noble Goldmask. A little warmer and a little wiser, our hero goes to enter the Royal Capital of Leyndell…but plans change when he squares off against an old and fierce foe: Margit the Fell Omen! This time, though, Aseo comes with a wealth of experience behind him. Can he earn the Fell Omen’s respect? And might the Fell Omen have some advice of his own about where to go next?
