Ako and Bambi

Accepting others is difficult. Accepting yourself is even harder. But that’s exactly what needs to be done if Yamashiro ever wants to stop her ghostly alter ego, Ako, from haunting amateur novelist Bambi. Still, that would mean forgiving herself and acknowledging the true nature of her friendship with Azusa. In the meantime, though, Bambi’s pretty happy with the status quo, especially since he’s starting to dread the day Ako disappears from his life...

She no longer disappears with the dawn. As the distinctions between Ako and Yamashiro become more and more defined, Ako’s ghostly form has become much less phantasmic. However, the question remains—can Ako and Yamashiro ever become fully-fledged beings in their own right, or will an important part of them always be missing? If you ask amateur novelist Bambi’s opinion…well, after spending so much time with Ako, he can’t imagine life without her anymore…

He can’t fight this feeling anymore. Death? Life? None of that really matters to Bambi. Even if Ako makes up with Yamashiro, that won’t ease the loneliness in his heart. Still, there are definitely downsides to living with a kind-of-dead person. Like being surrounded by a constant chill or knowing that no matter how much time passes, she’ll remain forever young. But as they say, love is blind, so it’s probably too late for him…

After all, Bambi’s obsession with her seems to be spiraling out of control—he won’t sleep, he won’t eat, and he keeps getting closer and closer even though her chill makes him sick! But Bambi’s still-beating heart won’t allow him to let her go, even if it’s in both of their best interests. And he’s the only one who thaws her frozen heart, so she can’t bring herself to push him away…
